Principal’s Message
Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to Aparima College.
Here at Aparima College we are proud of the whānau feel we bring to our school. We are a school focussing on development of all our learners in a holistic and nurturing environment. Our rangatahi are provided with the skills and choices in order to develop an individual pathway to adulthood.
Our school provides a rich, challenging and varied opportunities for learning; we focus on the skills needed for young people to successfully navigate their futures.
Our aim is to help all our rangatahi understand their place in the world, by knowing the stories of the past, how Māori and European history has shaped Aparima today and how they as learners will help shape it’s future. For young people to appreciate the importance of service to their community and feel a genuine connection to this place. Through the concepts of Kaitiakitanga our learners develop a sense of how to protect their environment and their culture.
Our supportive and caring environment puts learners firmly at the centre of all we do. We look forward to getting to know you and being on this adventure with you.
Ngā mihi nui,
Aloma Williams Principal
